Toppers Pizza featured in the Green Bay Press-Gazette

Toppers Pizza was recently featured in the Green Bay Press-Gazette with an article entitled "Green Bay Packers wins bring in green for businesses." The article focuses on the Super Bowl Sunday sales spike from the perspective of local Green Bay retailers. Toppers Pizza receives its own special section on Super Bowl Sunday pizza sales (in bold, below). Scott Iversen discusses how Super Bowl Sunday is typically one of the top 3 sales days of the year for Toppers, and is expected to be significantly higher with the Packers in the Super Bowl. Joe Kirschling and Aaron Johnson, owners of Toppers Pizza in Green Bay, discuss how they’ll prepare for the big day with a full staff and plenty of supplies. Green Bay Packers wins bring in green for businesses

The Super Bowl usually is a good day for pizza orders, but add the Packers in the mix, and its primed to be one heck of a day for sales.

"(Sales) could be upward of 50 percent more than most Super Bowls," said Scott Iversen, director of marketing with Whitewater-based Toppers Pizza, which has 20 Wisconsin locations. "The Super Bowl in general is one of the top three days of the year for pizza delivery, and when the Packers are in it, it drives more business.

Toppers' expansion plans discussed in Green Bay Gazette

Toppers recently handed out their Franchisee of the Year Award to Green Bay and Appleton owners, Joe Kirschling and Aaron Johnson. Joe and Aaron were recently interviewed by the Green Bay Press Gazette about their accomplishment. The partners opened their Appleton location in 2008 and re-opened the Green Bay location in February. The team is credited for revitalizing the Green Bay location while maintaining the success of their Appleton location. The interview also discusses the teams’s expansion plans as they plan to open their third location together by the summer of 2011. Toppers looks to expand in Green Bay

The owners of Toppers pizza in Green Bay are eying an expansion of operations to the west side of the city late this year or by the summer of 2011.

Co-owners Aaron Johnson and Joe Kirschling are looking at the expansion on the heels of taking on the Green Bay Toppers franchise earlier this year.

The pair have operated Toppers in Appleton since early 2008 and re-opened Green Bay operations in February. They were also recently bestowed Toppers Franchise of the Year for 2009 and 2010. (Read More)
